{"id":1057,"date":"2022-02-08T15:55:08","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T20:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cannebergesls.serveur-idhea.ca\/financier-with-fresh-cranberries-and-candied-ginger\/"},"modified":"2022-08-19T14:07:21","modified_gmt":"2022-08-19T18:07:21","slug":"financier-with-fresh-cranberries-and-candied-ginger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lscranberry.com\/en\/financier-with-fresh-cranberries-and-candied-ginger\/","title":{"rendered":"Fresh Cranberry and Candied Ginger Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #c20c0e;\"><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cake<br \/>\n<\/b>1 cup ( 250 ml ) butter<br \/>\n1 cup (250 ml) ground almonds<br \/>\n2 1\/3 cups ( 580 mL ) powdered sugar, sifted<br \/>\n2\/3 cup (150 ml) flour<br \/>\nZest of one orange (preferably organic)<br \/>\nZest of one lemon (preferably organic)<br \/>\n8 egg whites<br \/>\n1 cup fresh cranberries<br \/>\n1 tsp. chopped candied ginger<\/p>\n<p><b>Cranberry sauce<\/b><br \/>\n2 cups (500 mL) cranberries<br \/>\n1\/2 cup (125 ml) sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 cup (60 ml) orange juice or water<\/p>\n<p><b>Spicy yogurt<\/b><br \/>\nPlain Greek yogurt <br \/>\nHoney or maple syrup<br \/>\nGround spices (cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, nutmeg, cloves, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c20c0e;\"><b>Directions<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Cake <\/b><br \/>\nPreheat the oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>In a saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat, watching it constantly, until it turns a nutty color. Remove from heat, transfer immediately and let cool.<\/p>\n<p>In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients.\u00a0 Add the orange and lemon zests, and mix.<\/p>\n<p>Using an electric mixer on medium speed, gradually incorporate the egg whites and hazelnut butter (without putting the deposit at the bottom).<br \/>\nCover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for a few hours to allow the butter to set slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Butter and flour two 23-cm (9-inch) fluted tart molds with removable bottoms, pour in the batter and garnish with cranberries and chopped ginger.<b> <\/b>Bake for about 25 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack before unmolding.<\/p>\n<p><b>Cranberry sauce<\/b><br \/>\nIn a medium saucepan, cook all the ingredients over medium heat, uncovered, until the cranberries burst.<br \/>\nRemove from heat and let cool.<\/p>\n<p><b>Spicy yogurt<\/b><br \/>\nIn a bowl, mix the yogurt and honey until sweetened to your liking.<br \/>\nAdd spices to taste.<\/p>\n<p>Serve the cake with cranberry sauce and spiced yogurt.
