Summary role
Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager, the electromechanic will have to perform tasks relating to the proper functioning and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, electrical, control and production equipment. He will work in collaboration with the production and quality department. He/she must work in a way to respect health and safety rules in the workplace, avoids any product contamination and minimize the impact on the work environment.
Main tasks
⦁ Investigate the cause of breakdowns and solve the problem
⦁ Performs all required repairs as well as preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, electrical, control and production equipment according to established specifications and frequencies to ensure their proper operation and reliability
⦁ Ensure that equipment is safe at all times
⦁ Respond to urgent employee requests (foreman, manager, etc.)
⦁ Perform parts research and place orders in accordance with company procedures
⦁ Participate, in collaboration with supervisor, in the development and monitoring of the preventive and predictive maintenance plan
⦁ Perform inspections of various equipment
⦁ Participate in the planning of machine shutdowns with the maintenance manager
⦁ Promote communication and collaboration among team members
⦁ Perform semi-automatic welding and tig welding (cutting metal, welding guards, etc.)
⦁ Perform machining of parts as needed
⦁ Respond to service calls as needed
⦁ See to the improvement of equipment and plant efficiency
⦁ Respect plant safety rules to comply with safety standards
⦁ Participate in team meetings for plant facility improvements
⦁ Any other related duties
Skills, abilities and competencies related to the position
⦁ DEP in electromechanics or other combination of education and experience deemed relevant
⦁ Minimum 3 years of experience
⦁ Ability to read blueprints
⦁ Possess good problem solving skills
⦁ Communication and teamwork skills
⦁ Autonomous and resourceful
